Drawings from my design for Layout project in class 

The project involved producing a studio/ study for an artist.  I chose Charles Darwin because I was interested in the victorian interior andand I had the awesome opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Natural History Museum to study Darwin's collections.

FanArt of Harry Potter

One thing that always motivates me to try out new techniques and doodle is drawing fan art. Always been a fan of Harry Potter (not scarily obsessed, don't worry!) - The quite secret characters The Marauders are what I love drawing the most! I like the fact that there's not loads of information of them because it let's me fabricate some of my own ideas towards their design and story. Quite proud of some of my recent drawings of these guys! Thought I'd share some of my hobby-based artwork!

The colours from my window

A speed painting I did on Opencanvas (ohh I wish I had photoshop but for 40£ you can't loose with opencanvas :P ) Just the view of the house opposite, I was doodling a sketch of it when I realised the coloration of the roof with sky was perfect complementary colours and I just had to put my new understanding of painting from class to practice! Took just under an hour.

 Some sketchdumps for this first term's life drawing sessions at Bournemouth. Feel such a personal improvement, trying to keep my sketches loose and attempting to use more fluid lines rather than my normal scratchy approach to lines :/

Character Design

I got given the chance to design a character for one of the third year films :) She is meant to be a middle aged woman dressed in her wedding outfit and preserved in a tank by her crazy science husband desperate to revive her :p
I went through loads of dress designs and facial designs before I thought it worked, ahh!

Feeling Old!

I keep having naps and sleeping a lot recently.. I feel like an old granny!
This is one of my favourite characters, conveniently old for a themed post.
+ a guy eating meaty noodle things.. because right now I'm hungryyy! Kai, also another character of mine.
